Metal Allergies and Tungsten 

While we think Tungsten rings are the perfect choice for everyone, there are some medical reasons to avoid choosing a Tungsten ring. For one, if you suffer from a metal allergy, you might want to consider a different type of ring. When tungsten is changed from its original form to a form that jewelers can work with, we add a small amount of nickel so it can be properly molded and worked with. If you have a severe metal allergy, this small amount of nickel might set off an allergy attack. Chemical properties of Tungsten 

Tungsten is noted on the periodic table of elements with the letter W. This is because the W stands for Wolfram, which is another name used to describe tungsten. German scientists,  and a number of other scientists in Western Europe, still call Tungsten Wolfram to this day.  It also has a chemical number of seventy four and an atomic weight of 183.84 daltons.
